Narrow victory for Allander Cyan

Allander Cyan beat Newlands 3-2 in their West Squash League Division 5 match.

At position five, Jaco Ferreira faced a strong opponent and went down 3-0.

Then at four Ken Findlay started poorly and was two games to nil down before he bounced back to win the third and go into a very tight fourth game which he won. Ken won the fifth to take the set 3-2 and was named Allander Man of the match.

At three, Alastair Graves faced a strong opponent who took initial control of the match to win the first game. He came back in the second to equalise. However, the surge was short lived and the Newlands man regained the upper hand in the subsequent two games to win 3-1.

Gregory Dudziak at two won all his games 3-0.

Finally at one Chris McGeedy had a number of tight games, but also came through to win 3-0.
