A 40 MPH speed limit has been reimposed by East Dunbartonshire Council on stretch of road on the A81 near Milngavie.
This applies to the section of Strathblane Road southwest of Bankell Farm access road and southwest of Craigash Farm access road.
A temporary 30 MPH limit was imposed to allow the Katrine Water Treatment Plant to be constructed on a site to the north of Craigmaddie reservoir.
Now this work has been completed this order has been revoked and the permanent 40 MPH speed limit is back.
As part of the works, permanent traffic signals were installed on the A81 Strathblane Road at the access with the treatment plant.
