Over the years, Rangers have faced a lot of quality sides in European competition with some legendary figures having appeared on the turf.
From Ballon d’Or winners to World Cup stars, here are 12 famous footballing faces that have visited Ibrox Stadium.
9. Gianluigi Buffon
The legendary keeper saw his side get knocked out at the third qualifying round of the Champions League in August 1999. He has previously stated that he believes that the stadium in Glasgow’s Southside is one of the best grounds which he has ever played at.
10. Thierry Henry
Henry’s Barcelona side rocked in to Ibrox in 2007 but could only manage a 0-0 draw. Following the match, he remarked on the atmosphere in the ground being special.
11. Franco Baresi
Baresi took part in a charity match at Ibrox in 2012 for a charity match. Although he had long since retired, the former AC Milan was still a star attraction on the day.
12. Clarence Seedorf
The Dutch legend is regarded as one of the best midfield players of his generation and remains the only player to have won three Champions Leagues with different clubs.
