HERALD Sport has once again teamed up with Milngavie Golf Club to bring readers the chance to win a Four Ball competition worth £130.

One lucky winner each week will get the chance, with three pals, to play at Milngavie Golf Club, which is considered by many to be the finest golf course in the district.

They are situated just 15 minutes from the north, west and south side of Glasgow, on the edge of Mugdock Country Park and adjacent to the West Highland Way.

This absolutely stunning location provides fantastic views over Glasgow and the central belt as far as the Pentland Hills, and also across to the Campsies and to Ben Lomond.

Founded in 1895, Milngavie Golf Club was originally designed by Willie and Laurie Auchterlonie, with later features added by James Braid.

Visitors are delighted by the tranquillity of the course, and are soon aware of the real challenge of the unique layout.

The par 70 Black Tee Course is 6,107 yards, and is a challenge for the best of golfers. The White Medal Tees are a testing 5,818 yard par 68, while the Red Tees offer a 5,333 yard course for a tricky and enjoyable round. Members and visitors can choose to play off any set of tees.

With no joining fee in March, it is the perfect time to take advantage of golf club membership at Milngavie.

Their reciprocal and associate golf schemes allow members to play free or heavily discounted golf on over 200 courses in Great Britain and Ireland.

Milngavie is a genuinely friendly club, free from formality. They were the first in the area to have fully integrated ladies and gents membership categories.
