Partick Thistle are desperate for a win against Inverness Caley Thistle tomorrow to help them move out of the relegation play-off zone.
Just seven points separate the seventh place from the 11th in the league, with Hearts so far adrift at the bottom that they are all but relegated.
This leaves the prospect of the play-offs, which will see the second-bottom side play the top First Division sides, which is something The Jags are keen to avoid.
A run of one win in 10 for Hibs allied to wins last weekend for Partick and Ross County last weekend means the league is tight for the the bottom five clubs.
And with Ross County’s surprise away winners at St Johnstone last Saturday evening coupled with Partick Thistle’s defeat of Hibs a couple of hours earlier, it is shaping up to be an intriguing end of season. If Partick can build on their Hibs win by beating League Cup runners-up Inverness tomorrow it will go along way to helping them.
Although Thistle have lost only twice in their last 10 games, too many draws have meant they are still favourites to take the play-off spot.
