Alan Archibald has signed two new players to bolster Partick Thistle’s squad ahead of next Saturday’s debut SPFL match again Dundee United.
Congolese striker Henoc Mukendi (19) has been brought in from Liverpool FC on a six month loan contact - with an option to extend this if things work out.
He will join trialist Mark Kerr who also signed on the same day as Mukendi.
Kerr began training with the Jags mid July and scored a goal from 35 yards in the pre-season friendly against Dumbarton which Thistle won 4-3.
Archibald said: “Henoc is a young lad and we are very glad to have him on board with us. He has signed an initial six month loan deal with the option to extend.
“He is out of contract at Liverpool at the end of the season and this is an opportunity for him to prove himself. He’s versatile and can play in a number of positions.”
Mukendi joined Liverpool’s youth teams in 2007 and in May 2012 signed a two year contract with the Premiership giants. Following a loan spell at Northampton Town he made his debut for Liverpool on August 14 in a League Cup match.
The teenager can play as a striker or wide on the left.
Jags are next in action in a friendly against Cypriot side AEL Limmassol at Firhill on Saturday.
The kick-off is at 3pm.
