O’Donnnell reckons Partick Thistle can bounce back

Partick Thistle head into their crucial Christmas double-header with games against Inverness Caley Thistle on Boxing Day and Motherwell on Sunday - both at Firhill.

Defender Stephen O’Donnell reckons he can give the home crowd something to cheer about after defeat to Kilmarnock last Saturday.

He said: “We just need to keep moving forward. Apart from the Aberdeen and Dundee United games, no one has played us off the park. In most of our games we have just been unlucky.”

O’Donnell said he knew it was disappointing for fans and wanted them to come to Firhill in their numbers and support the team in their first season back in the premiership.

He added: “There is a lot to be positive about at the club but if we don’t do the business on the park then people aren’t going to pay their money to come and see us. Hopefully we can start picking up results and push on even more.”
