AFTER topping the league for nine successive weeks, Milngavie dropped to second place following a disappointing 4–0 away defeat at Hyndland.
Meanwhile Killermont secured this week’s top spot with the narrowest possible 3–1 away win against Lenzie.
Barr & Stroud had a convincing 4–0 home win against Kelvindale and Westerton maintained their recent good run by gaining maximum points in their home game with Maryhill. Bearsden’s home match against Claremont was played for double points and finished with a six points to two victory for the home club.
So the league table after 11 weeks has has Killermont top with 32 points followed by Milngavie on 30, then Barr & Stroud on 29. Westerton are next on 26 with Bearsden on 23, Lenzie and Hyndland each on 20, then Maryhill, 14, Claremont, 12 and Kelvindale, 8.
It is tight at the top with several clubs in contention and the fact that Milngavie, Westerton and Bearsden all have games in hand gives promise of an exciting next few weeks.
