Clydesdale’s Farmer in the frame in Polaroid 10K

It has been a busy few week for Clydesdale Harriers with many of the club’s members running in the Polaroid 10k Series.

In Helensburgh first Harrier home was Kevin Farmer with a time of 38 minutes 53 seconds, followed by Donald Cameron on 41.28.

Pamela McCrossan clocked 42.16 and came in 1st FV50, followed by Augustine Cairney (44.16), Fraser Smith (44.58), Colin Gray (58.55) and Nicola Armstrong (1:09.18).

In Clydebank first Harrier home was again Kevin Farmer in 37.41, followed by Donald Cameron (40.34), Alan Dick (40.54) Augustine Cairney (43.04), Fraser Smith (43.49), Colin Gray (57.09) and Nicola Armstrong (1:05.55).

Kevin Farmer clocked 37.05 to once again be first Clydesdale runner across the line in Dumbarton, followed by David Cameron (40.43), Pamela McCrossan (41.31, 2nd FV50), Augustine Cairney (42.59), Fraser Smith (43.51), Alistair Greig (44.38), Bryan Powell (44.41), Robert Young (47.58), Stephen McKee (50.03), Evelyn McKee (57.06), Nicola Armstrong (01:05.18) and Colin Gray (01:09.36).

And in the final 10K of the series at Vale of Leven Kevin Farmer again headed the Clydesdale contingent, clocking 37.31). He was followed by Donald Cameron (38.58), Alan Dick (41.22), Augustine Cairney (42.28), Fraser Smith (43.49), Robert Young (44.30), Stephen McKee (48.55), John Hutchinson (55.45), Evelyn McKee (57.37) and Colin Gray (01:09.29).

Two Clydesdale runners also enjoyed taking part in the Female Vets 3000m Championships at Glasgow’s Crownpoint Stadium.

Pamela McCrossan ran the distance in an excellent time of 12.05, achieving 1st FV50, while Marina McCallum followed in 13:19.

The next day Helensburgh Highland Games included an 8k hill race in which Marina ran a great time of 59.59).

And she then concluded a busy weekend by racing for the third day in succession, in the Milngavie Trail Race where she recorded a time of 1:18.10.

Clydesdale Harriers is a friendly club which caters for all abilities from ages eight upwards.
