Partick Thistle boss Alan Archibald says he wants to keep the squad’s winning momentum going as they get ready for another massive game on Friday at home to St Mirren.
Thistle took a crucial step away from the play-off zone last Saturday with a 2-1 victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
However, it is still tight in the bottom half of the league.
Looking forward to St Mirren tomorrow, Archibald said: “We’ll take the momentum from Saturday’s game into our next match at Firhill.
“The fans were absolutely tremendous – the players really noticed it and it helped, particularly in the later stages.
“Hopefully we can put in a performance they can be proud of come Friday, especially considering how we let them down the last time out.”
The last time Thistle played St Mirren at Firhill in November the Jags were comprehensively beaten 3-0. And in January they came away with a disappointing 0-0 draw at St Mirren Park.
With only four games to pay for a possible 12 points and only three points separating seventh from 11th, every point is vital.
