Young swimmers from The High School of Glasgow Junior School won eight golds, eight silvers, three bronze medals, and three team trophies in the Glasgow Primary Schools Swimming finals at Whitehill Pool recently.
Douglas Kelly (10) from Blanefield - in the centre of the picture with the swimmer who set two new primary records for the open butterfly and freestyle.
The 11-year-olds girls relay team won gold and the Dykes Trophy setting a new Glasgow record for the race. The 10-year-olds girls relay team also won gold and the Robert Smith Memorial Trophy.
Not to be outdone the 11-year old boys relay team won gold and the Milne Trophy, while the 10-year old boys relay team won silver.
Meanwhile in the Scottish Schools Swimming Championships at the Dollan Pool in East Kilbride, High School senior pupils, Anna Fleming (S2) and Kirsten Clark from Torrance (S5) won medals.
Anna received the Robert McAdam Trophy for the best performance in the girls under 14 age group, after winning two golds in the 13/14 age group 200m freestyle and 100m freestyle, while Kirstin took the silver medal in the 15/16 age group 100m butterfly.
