The fixtures for the new season, announced on Friday, see Alan Archibald’s men take on the Highlanders in the season opener at Firhill on Saturday, August 6.

The fixture means an early reunion with his old team-mates for ex-Inverness man Danny Devine who only joined the Glasgow Jags this week.

The Jags’ first away match is against champions Celtic the following week. Thistle then face Aberdeen away and Hearts at home.

Thistle’s first match with newly promoted Rangers will be at Ibrox on October 1.

Over Christmas and New Year the Firhill side’s festive schedule gives them a trip to Dingwall on Christmas Eve to play Ross County and home matches with Dundee on Wednesday, December 28, and Kilmarnock on Hogmanay.
