Partick Thistle are gearing up for a critical string of games in their bid to beat the drop - and fans could be crucial to the club’s success.

The Jags face Hibs, Inverness Caley and champions-in-waiting Celtic in a series of matches which will go a long way to determining whether the Maryhill men can avouid a dreaded play-off place.

Bottom-placed Hearts look doomed, but there is a real scrap to avoid second bottom and a play-off against one of a number of decent looking sides hoping to claw their way up from the Championship.

Partick won their last home game against Aberdeen, breaking a season-long hoodoo - and now Thistle are calling on fans to roar them to success in the home ties against Hibs (Saturday, March 15) and midweek against Celtic (March 26).

The club are offering a specialm deal on tickets for both of these matches

A club spokesman said: “Following the fantastic first home win against Aberdeen, the next two fixtures at Firhill could be definitive to Thistle’s season. Points picked up between now and the end of the month are going to be crucial in the push to avoid the playoff place and your support at Firhill will be central to achieving this.

“The Jags support at home has been fantastic and keeping this going in the final push will no doubt give the players a massive boost. That’s why we’re offering tickets for both the Hibs game and the Celtic game at just £40 for adults and £27 for concessions.”
