Partick Thistle’s Dan Seaborne grabbed his first goal for the club in their 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock at Firhill but admits he would have traded it for all three points against the Ayrshire men

He said: “It’s a point in the right direction but we should be winning games like that at home.

“We will definitely see it as two points dropped. It’s a game we looked at before kick off and thought we could get all three points and didn’t manage to do that.”

He said the squad had given Kilmarnock a couple of chances because of silly mistakes and this is where they caused problems.

The defender added, “We caused our own problems. On another day we could have had two or three but we’ve got to go away and look at where we fell down.”

Seaborne equalised with a header from a Stuart Bannigan free kick, adding: “I’m chuffed to get my first goal for the club, but it’s all about the result and I would have happily swapped that for the three points.” With a long trip to Inverness on Saturday Dan is hoping for a similar result to the last time the sides met, when Thistle won 3-1 winners at Firhill.
