Flip, flip hooray for Eaglesham gymnast Amy

Amy Clark was given a hero’s welcome when she returned home to Eaglesham from the Special Olympics on friday.

The 15-year-old rhythmic gymnast brought a gold medal, plus two silver and a bronze home from the Special Olympics in Los Angeles.

Family and friends gathered at her home in Eaglesham for a surprise party where there were many messages of congratulations in the gold post box in her back garden. It was similar to that in Dunblane of her sporting hero Andy Murray.
