At number 5 John Millar played a fitter opponent who beat him 3-1.
Next up was Gordon Todd playing at number 4. He came up against a skilful female player, but his steady selection of paced shots gave him a 3-0 win.
At number 3 Saj Chaudry was challenged by another female opponent in what was a fast paced match. Saj took early control with some powerful striking shots to overwhelm his opponent in the first game. A slight wobble resulted in him losing the second game, but he came back with some powerful shots, returning to simple power play and took the match to a 3-1 victory.
Ken Findlay playing at number 2 had a unusual shaky start losing the first game to a steadier opponent. Recovering in the second, Ken continued to played a more consistent game, progressing to a winning 3-1 result.
Gregory Dudziak at number 1 was challenged constantly by a younger and fast paced opponent. The first game went to Greg; the second to his opponent and the third was a tough hard fought match with Greg in the winning mode. At 2-1 Greg had a further fast paced engaging match with a close last few points to give Greg a 3-1 victory.
