Youngsters invited to enter writing competition

School children are being urged to let their imagination run wild and enter the Mini Monologue competition.

Mini Monologues is a new writing competition for young adults aged 11-18 years with entrants asked to submit a piece of up 100 words.

Entrants are invited to submit a first person narrative written from a real person’s or fictional character’s point of view. Who inspires or intrigues today’s youth? Whose footsteps would you walk in for a few minutes and whose thoughts would you like to share.

What event or situation could inspire a thought-provoking, emotionally-charged monologue? Closing date December 19.
