World-wide support for New Lanark buffer fight
THE fight to prevent quarrying marring the scenery on the fringes of Lanark and New Lanark is attracting more support abroad than from officialdom at home.
So says the pressure group set up to combat the controversial plan by Cemex to extend its Hyndford Quarry into the official buffer zone designed to protect New Lanark from overdevelopment.
