A series of images representing scenes in the Passion of Christ, from his meeting with Pontius Pilate to his entombment, will be on display at The Lillie Art Gallery in Milngavie until April 24.
‘The Way of The Cross’ – is a set of prints for Easter by Adrian Wiszniewski.
In 1999, Wiszniewski produced a new set of Stations of the Cross as part of a commission by Bury St Edmunds Art Gallery to commemorate the Millennium.
While these images focus on two thousand years of Christian worship, they may also be seen as a metaphor for the journey of life.
There will also be an exhibition by Glasgow-based artist Sharon Thomas at the gallery until April 24.
Sharon’s exhibition presents egg-tempra portraits of seven inspirational women, several of whom are the first females to gain key positions in their respective positions.
The Lillie Art Gallery opening times are Tuesday to Saturday, 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm.
