Work by acclaimed contemporary artist Deborah Sanderson is on show at The Lillie Art Gallery, Milngavie, in partnership with Bryce Arts Collective, until May 28.
Deborah, who is described as a ‘visual storyteller’, brings together painting, sculpture and the written word to explore tales of the ‘everyman and everywoman’ in her new exhibition: ‘The Fragility That Marks Us’.
A spokesperson said: “Her creative roots have grown far and deep, through the rich soil of film-making, sculpture, painting, performance art and punk rock spirit.
“This exhibition is a tender, yet playfully irreverent journey through our collective human experience which uses transformation of colour, texture, and imagination into a wealth of striking paintings, sculpture and installation.”
Deborah’s debut novel, ‘The Wonder Turner’ has also been published. It charts the travels of a reclusive ingénue through Time, Dimension, and Cuban music.
The Lillie Art Gallery is on Station Road and Milngavie, open Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm (closed 1pm to 2pm and Sunday and Monday). Disabled access.
