Westerton Tennis Club’s annual fireworks night is going to be held on Saturday, November 2 from 6pm to 8pm.
There will be lots of games and activities for everyone to take part in, including the very popular family touch tennis and live entertainment from local talents 14-year-old singer/songwriter Niamh and four piece band Violent Pink.
Niamh’s voice has been described as a cross between Joni Mitchell and Taylor Swift. She has been working on her demo with Canadian producer Tom McKay and renowned engineer Robin Rankin who has worked with Scotland’s most famous names. While Violent Pink hope to entertain young and old with their polished mix of classic rock and funk, inspired by Talking Heads and Kasabian.
As well as hot food and a licensed bar, visitors will have the chance to try a Hallowe’en/Bonfire Night themed cocktail. Everyone is also invited to take along a pumpkin lantern to be in with a chance of winning a prize for the best looking one.
Organiser, Kim Kilgour, said: “This is now the third year Westerton Tennis Club has held a fireworks night. There is already a buzz around the village and tickets are selling fast. Last year saw well over 200 people enjoy a great night and this year I am sure will be no different.”
Gayle Brown said: “It’s great seeing the local community getting together for a spectacular firework display. My whole family are looking forward to Saturday.”
Tickets cost £15 per family (includes a free drink). There are a limited number of tickets still available - please contact Kim on 07876 680095.
