Website warning after flood of complaints
The warning comes from South Lanarkshire Council after a flood of complaints to Trading Stardards from people paying for a service they could have got free.
“Several people have contacted us over the last few months having mistakenly found themselves on websites, thinking them to be official Government sites,” said Divisional Trading Standards Officer David Templeton.

“This tends to happen when searching online for ‘driving test’ or ‘driving licences’.”
He stressed that the websites were doing nothing illegal but, to avoid paying unnecessary fees, drivers should always go to the official website https://www.gov.uk.
