PUPILS at Milngavie Primary School learned all about how water goes from source to tap when Scottish Water delivered a presentation to them in their classroom.
The primary five and six pupils heard from the utility’s Alan Carnihan about the water cycle, where it comes from and how it is treated.
He also told them some fascinating facts about Scottish Water, including the number of people they provide for (most of Scotland’s five million people) and the length of their pipelines.
The children were also fascinated to learn which of their homes were supplied with water from the Milngavie Water Treatment Works and which received water from the Burncrooks Water Treatment Works.
