As the number of people living with dementia in Scotland continues to rise, Alzheimer Scotland is set to deliver its biggest ever series of Memory Walks this autumn to support people with the condition.
The Milngavie Memory Walk will be held in Milngavie Water Works on Sunday, August 30 from 10am for registration and 10.45am for the walk start.
Alzheimer Scotland’s memory bus will also be parked in Drumclog Car Park with a local dementia advisor on hand to offer information and advice. There will also be some goodies at the end of the walk to thank everyone for their efforts.
Registration is £10 for adults, £5 for 12-16 year olds and free for under 12s. Participants are asked to raise £100 in sponsorship. Visit www.MemoryWalksScotland.org to register.
All funds raised will help to pay for vital Alzheimer Scotland dementia services such as the 24 hour helpline, advisors, nurses and research and local activities.
