Unemployment fall is welcomed
Jo Swinson MP has welcomed the news that 30million people in the UK are in employment, the highest level it has ever been.
Locally in East Dunbartonshire, unemployment has fallen by more than a quarter since last year.
Ms Swinson said: “Nationally, employment has reached a record high with more than 30million people in work. Here in East Dunbartonshire more people continue to find jobs and fewer have to claim Jobseeker’s Allowance.
“This is another encouraging step on the road to recovery.”
