East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust held a thank you event in the Lillie Art Gallery recently for volunteers who help out across a wide range of cultural services.
The invited guests enjoyed afternoon tea and information about the exhibition by the Society of Glasgow Women Artists.
Currently 92 people, aged between 14 and 80, carry out a range of volunteer roles in the Home Library Service, Archives and Local Studies, Museums and Galleries, Cultural Co-ordinator projects, Arts Development, and Children and Families, including Gaming Champions and Summer Reading Challenge helpers.
Councillor Anne Jarvis, Chair of EDLC Trust said, “I would like to sincerely thank all the volunteers who have so willingly undertaken so many different tasks and given so much time and energy in this past year.
“Our volunteers enhance all aspects of the services we provide and without this contribution many of the projects, events and activities we offer, especially in the community, would not be sustainable.
“They bring enthusiasm, humour and patience to everything they do and the Trust cannot thank them enough for that.”
