Toddle along for mums’ charity walk

TWO local mums are organising a toddler’s walk at Mugdock Country Park for charity.

Julie Dods, from Bearsden, and her friend Lisa Armstrong, of Milngavie, have joined forces to host a Barnardo’s Big Toddle walk as part the charity’s national fundraising programme.

The event is open to toddlers and their families and will take place from near the visitors’ centre on Saturday, June 16, from 10.30 to noon.

This is the UK’s largest sponsored walk for toddlers the charity holds and last year over half a million children took part UK-wide, raising £1.1million to help some of the UK’s most vulnerable children. This year’s Toddles have a super-hero theme so go along in capes and masks.

Julie said: “We’re really excited about our Big Toddle. It’s going to be a fantastic day out for all the family and we hope to see lots of happy toddlers doing their bit to raise funds for Barnardo’s.”
