Plans for this year’s Bearsden Festival are gathering pace with lots of things organised for the weekend of September 3 to 4 already.
There will be workshops to allow people to learn something new or try out a new skill. They’ve got everything from ukele workshops to fidle, vocal to gaelic, chanter to mixed instrumental.
All designed for good fun and led by professionals.
You can book by going to www.bearsdenfestival.org. They are all free.
There will also be a vintage bus to take everyone on free trips around Bearsden.
A Societies Fair will introduce you to lots of voluntary organisations in the area from singing to dancing, history to flower arranging, martial arts to literary societies, art to futher education – there will be something for everyone.
New Kilpatrick Old Halls will host a couple of ‘am-drams’ along with puppets and Zoo Man. There will be a play every hour on the Saturday. Free and suitable for all the family.
There will also be an outdoor stage to provide a showcase for singers, pipers, dancers, choirs etc.
