Looking for an unusual or unique Christmas gift for your friends or family this year?
Why not pop into The Lillie Art Gallery in Milngavie to pick up an original painting, photograph, ceramic item, something made from glass or a piece of jewellery.
The annual Christmas exhibition, which sells affordable works of art, is on until Saturday, December 19.
While you are there you could also enjoy a wander through their ‘Abstracted’ exhibition - a selection of abstract work from the gallery’s permanent collection.
The art includes geometric, formalised and non-representational works including ‘Broken Fence’ by Hilda Goldwag.
Hilda Goldwag, who died aged 95, was a Jewish refugee from Nazi persecution who enjoyed critical acclaim for her unique paintings of urban Glasgow of the mid-to-late twentieth century.
Born in 1912 to a Jewish family in Vienna, Goldwag’s artist father, Moses Leopold Goldwag, died when she was nine, leaving her mother, Szerena, to raise the family of three children.
The ‘Abstracted’ exhibition is on until Thursday, December 10.
