Well known local man Len Murray is going to talk about “Gecas the war criminal who lived in Edinburgh” at the next meeting of Milngavie and Bearsden Historical Society on Monday, March 2.
Mr Murray, a retired solicitor, is well known in Milngavie and Bearsden. He was personally involved in the criminal case against Anton Gecas and has a fascinating story to tell.
The 85-year-old died in Edinburgh just over a week after it was announced a warrant for his arrest would not be executed due to his ill health, preventing his extradition.
Milngavie and Bearsden Historical Society meets in Kilmardinny House, Bearsden, at 7.30pm. Visitors welcome, cost £4.
