Success for Carolside onesie runner

Carolside Sports Club is £300 richer and counting, thanks to the efforts of their brave onesie runner.

Coach Davie Goldie donned a club-branded all-in-one at the weekend and set off from Carolside Primary school on a collection run.

Anyone who spotted the onesied runner was asked to give him a cheer of support, and throw some money into the bucket.

Residents were also encouraged to post their best pictures of Davie all dressed up on the club’s Facebook page, with the best picture promised a Carolside goodie bag.

Chair and p3 coach David Kane told The Extra: “Money is still coming in, but the total raised in excess of £300 and this will go towards buying much-needed equipment ready for the new intake of primary one children joining us at our football training sessions starting in August (3-4pm at Williamwood).”
