BEARSDEN MSP Fiona McLeod is urging people to get ready for winter by stocking up medicine cabinets.
She said: “By preparing ahead, people can ensure they can make the most of the festive period, and not allow winter coughs and colds to spoil their fun.
“At this time of year we always see a rise in the number of colds and flu-like illnesses. I would encourage anyone who is eligible to get their flu jab to help protect them against flu.
“I would strongly advise people to stock up their medicine cupboards with items such as paracetamol, cough mixture, throat lozenges and cold and flu treatments before the bad weather sets in so that if they are struck down by the cold, they do not have to venture out in bad weather for remedies.”
