Teachers from St Joseph’s Primary School in Milngavie is giving a presentation at this week’s Scottish Learning Festival (www.scottishlearningfestival.org.uk).
Teacher Clare Duns will be in the Education Scotland Food for Thought classroom talking about the use of ICT in Food Education and how St Joseph’s PS has used Food for Thought grants to support this.
The school has also been using ipods to create a blog, make and read QR codes for learning activities and provide information to the wider school community.
The school will also show the ‘Lifting the Lid’ clip from the National Library of Scotland @Lifting the Lid on Scottish Food’ exhibition in Edinburgh.
Teacher Angela Murray will be in the ‘Marketplace’ sharing the ICT skills progression planners that she created and have now been adopted by the cluster. This is a demonstration of best practice in ICT. Schools in other authorities have shown interest in her work.
