Police cracked down on street drinking in East Dunbartonshire over the weekend.
Six people were issued with on-the-spot fines for taking alcohol in a public place.
The £40 fixed penalty notices were slapped on youths in Kirkintilloch, Lenzie and Milngavie.
A police spokesman at Kirkintilloch blamed the warm weather on Saturday and Sunday, and said: “People need to be aware this is an offence and they will almost certainly be fined on the spot.”
He added: “It’s also a case of three strikes and you’re out. You will then be officially charged with an offence and you could end up with a criminal record.”
