Parents and members of the local community were invited to a Fairtrade information event at Clober Primary School in Milngavie recently.
Their guest speaker, Angela Oakley, talked about Fairtrade and how it helps people.
The Fairtrade committee performed a drama show about the story of chocolate and this was introduced with a pretend live link from Sky news reporter Tadhg Enright.
The Primary 2 children then sang about chocolate ‘Ca c’est le Max!’ and used percussion instruments.
They also had three hampers and a boxed gift full of Fairtrade Goods donated by local shops, such as Lidl and Farmfoods at
Baljaffray, M&S and Tesco in Milngavie, ASDA Bearsden and the Co-Op at Bearsden Station.
They were all so generous and the school would like to thank everyone for their help.
Starbucks in St Georges Road, Glasgow provided all the Fairtrade cakes, coffee and hot chocolate. The Clober Consultative Committee group, spoke about the school’s Rights Respecting School Award.
