The section of Maryhill Road, which was closed following a burst water main on Monday, July 8, re-opened on Saturday (July 13).
Maryhill Road from south of its junction with Coronation Way near Canniesburn Toll to its junction with Killermont Avenue, near Garscube Bridge, was shut to traffic while Scottish Water worked to return the water supply to 23,000 affected homes and businesses in the area.
After completing the repair Scottish Water reinstated the road and lifted the road closure.
A Scottish Water spokesman said: “We made every effort to complete our work and lift the road closure as quickly as possible.
“Special arrangements were put in place for residents in West End, a street just off the section of Maryhill Road closed to through-traffic, to give them access and access was maintained for customers at a filling station and shop at the north end of Maryhill Road.
“We apologise for the inconvenience to all road-users who were affected by the burst main and road closure and thank them for their patience and understanding.”
