Six Explorers, eight Scouts and six Leaders from the 24th Glasgow (Bearsden) Scout Group went to Fordell Firs Scout Activity Centre near Dunfermline between Christmas and new year.

A Scouts spokeswoman said: “A great time was had by all. The programme was very varied with an outing on the Saturday when the youngsters and accompanying Leaders took the train to Edinburgh to look around the castle and the Old Town as part of the Heritage Badge for the Scouts.

“They took part in wide games, a campfire and various competitions and on the Sunday, gladiator duels and Sumo wresting.”
