The organisers of a fun family event in Temple-Anniesland Church last weekend are thrilled that they have raised far more than their target amount for a variety of worthwhile charities.
There was a great turnout on the day and everyone had fun joining in the events which included a zumbathon, face-painting, children’s dance show and loads of stalls selling beauty products, cakes and lots more.
Samantha Young from Bearsden helped to organise the event and kept her promise of getting her head shaved as they had already reached their target of £5,000 before the event.
Sam, who had her lovely long locks cut off to help raise cash, said: “We can’t believe how much money we raised and the generosity of everyone who donated such amazing raffle prizes.
“We’d like to thank everyone who supported the event in so many ways.”
They have now raised over £5,000, with money still coming in, and it will all go to Cancer Research UK, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and A Child Unheard.
