Rotarians' £20k abseil success

Parkinson's UK wants to say 'a huge thank you' to the 25 intrepid abseilers who raised more than £20,000 by jumping off the Forth Rail Bridge during the summer.

The charity has also passed on its thanks to the Rotary Club of South Queensferry for organising the event.

Regional fundraiser Emma Hall said: “Our work at Parkinson’s UK - whether it be world-leading research or providing local support for people with Parkinson’s - is entirely dependent on donations and fundraising events like this.

“The abseilers had a fantastic day and raised so much.

“We’re planning to hold a similar event in 2017 so if you’re interested please keep an eye on the Parkinson’s UK website at www.parkinsons.org.uk
