Riding for the Disabled Spring Fair success

Riding for the Disabled’s recent Spring Fair.

The event at Glasgow’s Summerston centre was a great success with a huge turnout and raised £3,265.

Many thanks to everyone who baked, sold raffle tickets, manned stalls and went along on the day, including a group of girls from Milngavie Primary School, who ran a flower stall and raised £60. At their stall are (left to right) Chloe Traynor, Hazel Brimelow, Kirsty Allan and Sophie Hamilton

The centre runs 47 hours of therapeutic horse riding and hippotherapy (physio on horseback) sessions for 180 children and 80 adults with a wide range of disabilities each week. It is run with the help of over 150 volunteers - if you are interested in volunteering get in touch with the centre, phone 0141 945 1369.

They rely on donations, trusts and foundations to continue operating and urgently need support from local businesses so if you are looking for a charity of the year consider them.
