Rescheduled Drymen Show is on track for success

Excitement is building as we draw closer to this year’s rescheduled Drymen Show at Balfunning Farm in Balfron.

The popular agricultural show, which was supposed to be held on May 25 at the showfield at Drymen Bridge, is now going to be held on Saturday, August 17 at Balfunning Farm, Balfron Station by kind permission of Mr J. MacFarlane.

Here is a run down of some of what you can see on the day.

There will be judging of some of the finest livestock including cattle, sheep, highland ponies, Clydesdale horses and a light horse competition, a display of vintage tractors, entertainment in the main ring, a rabbits show and poultry demonstration, trade stands, kids entertainment and catering and bar throughout the day.

Main ring entertainment will include a livestock parade and prize giving, dog agility, pipe band, kids races, fancy dress horse and rider and a shearing demonstration.

Entry to Drymen Show is £7 for an adult, £5 for children/OAPs and a family ticket £20.
