Police hunt after man is stabbed

Detectives are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in Glasgow's south side at Thursday lunchtime (September 22).

Around five minutes after 1pm the 20 year old victim was walking along Old Rutherglen Road, near Oregon Street, when he was attacked.

The victim was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where Hospital staff say his condition as stable.

The suspect is white, mid 20s, 5ft 6ins, stocky, and has a shaved head.

He was wearing a white top with the words ‘Nike’ in black on the chest.

Detective Sergeant Martin Smith from Cathcart CID said: “From our CCTV enquiries so far we can see that the surrounding area was busy with members of the public at the time of the incident.

“Somebody must have seen something and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened to get in touch.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Cathcart CID via 101.
