Police appeal for witnesses after serious accident in Carbeth

The police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic accident in Carbeth.

A black Suzuki motorbike collided with a blue Honda CRV and grey Smart car at around 2pm on Sunday, October 2 on the A809 Stockiemuir Road, near to Carbeth Fishery.

The 30 year-old male motorcycle rider sustaining serious injuries.

The drivers of both cars were uninjured.

Stockiemuir Road was closed for around five hours and has since reopened.

Sergeant Adam Weir from Forth Valley Trunk Road Patrol Group, said: “We’re looking for people who were in the area at the time who witnessed anything to help us establish the full circumstances.”
