Police appeal for help to find attackers who fractured a man's skull

The police are appealing for information about an attack on a man who suffered a fractured skull.

Two men found the man lying injured on Hope Street near to its junction with Argyle Street on Friday, February 19 at about 4.30am.

They called an ambulance and the man was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he received treatment for a head injury.

He was released after treatment but he went back to the hospital at a later date as he was concerned about his injury. After further examination he was diagnosed with a fractured skull and will require surgery.

Detective Constable Stephen Palmer from Stewart Street CID said: “A man has been left with a very serious head injury as a result of this attack and enquiries are at an early stage to establish what happened.

“I would like to speak to anyone with information about this incident, particularly the two people who called an ambulance for the victim.”
