MP Jo Swinson is backing St Joseph’s Nursery in Milngavie in their bid to move into the IT hut within the St. Joseph’s Primary School grounds.
The nursery is currently based in the ex-school room huts and staff are hoping to move premises due to the condition of the current building.
Ms Swinson dropped by to visit the nursery’s staff and children and to review plans that will see a real improvement in service for the kids and families who use the centre.
Facility upgrades such as adding disabled and baby change toilets will make it easier to meet child care and education needs.
The MP said: “It was lovely dropping by to visit the nursery. You could tell by the smiles on the children’s faces that the staff does a great job taking care of them.
“I fully back their plans to move into an improved space so they can continue to provide services that meet childcare and educational needs for some time to come. I wish the nursery all the best with their fundraising challenge.”
