The City Deal initiative, agreed with the UK Government, means more than £500 million will be spent in infrastructure projects across Glasgow and Lanarkshire with the final tally totalling £1 billion if the Scottish Government match the UK Government’s commitment.

However, the council’s £169 million is set to be spent on four projects outwith the old Clydesdale district.
