East Dunbartonshire Council is helping to develop a new health and Social Care Partnership with Greater Glasgow Health Board.
Health Boards and Local Authorities across Scotland are putting plans in place to integrate certain adult health and social care services in order to improve services and East Dunbartonshire Council is keen to contribute and improve the service for patients.
Although the initiative is still only in the consultation phase a draft Integration Scheme has now been prepared.
Council leader Rhondda Geekie, who is chair of the Health and Social Care Shadow Integration Joint Board, is encouraging anyone who is interested in the initiative to share their views.
She said: “We have published the draft Integration Scheme on both the council and the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde websites, and want to hear people’s views.”
