The funeral of a young man who died after getting out of a taxi on the M8 takes place on Friday.

Lyle Rushburn (23) from Stepps was hit and killed by a bus on the M8 in Glasgow in the early hours of Tuesday, May 24.

His funeral will take place on Friday, June 10 at Daldowie Crematorium in Broomhouse.

His family have told mourners to wear bright colours instead of black ties.

There will be a retiral collection in aid of the Beatson Cancer Centre in Glasgow.

Tributes have been paid to the popular young man who his family said was “one in a billion.”

His friends have also left flowers close to the spot where he died. One said: “We built up the courage and took some flowers to our angel.

“It broke our hearts all over again but we know he would have been sitting on that fence watching us.”
