Milton of Campsie singer booked to play alongside American Idol Carrie Underwood

A hotly-tipped singer from Milton of Campsie has been added to a bill containing some of the biggest stars in country music.

Jill Brown will be performing on the King Tut’s Acoustic Stage at the Country2Country music festival at Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium on March 11-13.

She’s in exalted company, with American Idol winner Carrie Underwood and multiple Grammy nominee Eric Church also appearing at the weekend event.

It’s the latest in a series of gigs for former STV journalist Jill, who has played everywhere from the legendary King Tut’s to Barlinnie Prison and the Glasgow City Mission.
