The first meeting of the popular Milngavie Heritage & History Group will be on Thursday, January 8, at 2pm in the Milngavie Community Centre.
The speaker will be William Black who will give a lighthearted trip down memory lane with a talk on the evolution of holidays in the west of Scotland.
Mr Black’s talk is entitled ‘Fasts, Terrs and The Ferr’ and looks at now the vast majority of people in this part of Scotland spent their holiday time, from a ‘trip doon the watter’ to the advent of the package holiday.
Questions can be asked at the end. New members welcome.
